Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining team member HR documentation and benefit records through processing weekly payroll through BJ’s Time and Attendance System and team-member attendance tracking; updating Peoplesoft with team member changes; maintaining and updating benefit status changes and team member performance appraisals; conducting new hire team-member  orientations; administering the hiring of temporary employment and communicating to agency representative issues/concerns relating to attendance and performance; answering and responding to basic Team Member questions and concern and maintaining general HR processes such as safety programs and safety shoes

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain all team member personnel documentation in and timely, accurate, secured and confidential manner.    Coordinate with temporary agencies to fill vacancies. 
  • Responsible for orientation and onboarding of new team members
  • Effectively and timely, communicate issues/concerns relating to attendance and performance to Team Member and management.
  • Manage payroll on a weekly basis through the Workforce Management System (WFM). Provide management with payroll summary for productivity reporting.  Track team member and temporary agency attendance and communicate all violations to management.
  • Work with team members in maintaining and updating benefits changes.
  • Manage front end vendor and visitor communication and access.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains all Distribution Center policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact and engage with others
  • Outlook experience, including: Excel and Word
  • Computer Skills required
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Preferred high school diploma or equivalent

 

 

Environmental Job Conditions

  • Located in an environment with exposure to changing temperatures, including heat and cold, noise and dust.
  • Perform repetitive, dexterous movements related to computer use and data entry
  • When needed stand, sit, bend, twist, lift for up to 8 hours a day

 

Hours:  Mon-Fri, 9:30AM-6:00PM w/ some flexibility to work other hours as required.
