This position is responsible for delivering quality, specialized, complex technical support to all BJ’s club Team Members in the operation of their POS and POS peripheral equipment.  Provide written detailed updates into our incident management tool to enable efficient and effective trending of issues, escalate severity issues as appropriate, create and maintain support documentation for both our 1st Level as well as new associates, and provide on-going training, coaching, and mentoring to/of both. Independently manage day-to-day service delivery problems and work on special projects as assigned.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recognize and escalate issues with serious business impact to the appropriate Support and/or Business team.
  • Document all customer issues via a call tracking system
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues within an efficient time frame according to SLA requirements
  • Provide assistance in trending issues, identifying root cause, and identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Work with vendors to drive to timely resolution; create trending and analysis, and drive continuous improvement in vendor response and quality of services
  • Revise and maintain current documentation within the department.
  • Cross-train with other teams and attends field training as assigned.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
  • Support new hardware and software deployments

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in supporting POS systems
  • Experience with supporting IBM/Toshiba POS hardware and Datalogic/Motorola scanning technology is preferred
  • Experience with supporting Toshiba ACE and CHEC POS software is preferred
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Management - or equivalent related work experience.
