Digital Operations Manager




The Digital/ eCommerce Operations manager is a strategic and operational role. This position will be responsible for driving growth and ensuring operational excellence for all BJ’s digital properties. We are looking for someone with a passion for omni-channel ecommerce and the ability to drive key initiatives in a fast-paced environment. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee operational business processes required to run a digital commerce business with an emphasis on responsiveness, quality, and a superlative customer experience.
  • Identify key issues, guide and execute analysis, develop conclusions, and present findings to cross-functional partners. Proactively address issues before they impact business results.
  • Create and report on the status of the digital commerce fulfillment business
  • Builds and activates proper governance models within digital teams to increase awareness, roadblocks, priorities, and processes.
  • Strong relationship-building skills. Experience working closely with multiple business functions to influence strategic agendas and operationalize initiatives.
  • Partner with internal and external resources to manage the website & operation functioning.
  • Oversee and assists in the investigation of all chargebacks and fraud transactions deriving from E-commerce business
  • Develop, monitor, and execute a clear plan for maximizing acceptance rate and minimizing Fraud/Chargebacks
  • Review and analyze daily Payment Report for any possible fraud, credit risk and loss exposure.
  • Lead a team of operations analysts and provide oversite, mentorship to the team.


Education / Degree

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology or related discipline; or equivalent experience. 


Experience and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive retail management or eCommerce experience. Should have at least three (3) years managing a team of direct reports and working closely with digital leadership team.
  • Ability to measure performance through analytics and transform the results into actionable plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in both technical and non-technical terms.
  • A strong understanding of all aspects of a large online retailer, including links to store operations, infrastructure, client relations, marketing, promotion, fulfillment, and customer service.
  • Previous experience with Fraud Prevention in ecommerce.
  • Proven project management skills in managing multiple, large-scale eCommerce initiatives.
  • Strong managerial, planning, analytical, communications, decision-making, lateral thinking, project management and leadership skills.
  • Growth-oriented leader with exceptional execution skills.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that we provide the best consumer experience
  • Strong analytical experience including proficiency in SQL & Tableau
