As the Director – Digital Platform Engineering, you will responsible for managing end to end technology operations including all technology systems services and support. The Director will be responsible for the leading multiple engineering teams, supporting critical applications while maintaining technology roadmap of all Digital platform initiatives

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and Implement the roadmap of Digital platform strategic initiatives while ensuring all systems within platform are highly reliable, available, scalable and secure.
  • Manage multiple concurrent, complex delivery of projects while ensuring uptime of applications
  • Develop and maintain compliance with architecture principles and standards for the various systems and components based on design patterns
  • Deliver highly reliable and trustworthy release management process while continuously enabling a high pace of change and innovation by working upstream with development teams
  • Drive and deliver platform environments, monitoring, security and automation tools framework for use across the ecosystem
  • Be the champion of our DevOps culture and build a strong cross-collaboration between Platform, SRE, Security and Software Engineering teams
  • Author, contribute and review the content for Solution Design Documents including Context Diagrams, Application Models, Application Profiles, Use Cases, Logical Application Models, Process Models, Logical Data Models, and High-Level Designs.
  • Technical support through Development, Testing, and Deployment in agile working model.
  • Proactive, regular communications with business, technology partners, and management to keep informed of status, changes, or issues.
  • Identify trends and promote solutions across multiple product areas by being an influencer around software architecture best practices, including quality, supportability, scalability, performance, availability, maintainability, extensibility, and security.
  • Maintains an awareness and understanding of competing products and provides ideas for innovation and improvement in order to maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
  • Mentor and manage team of FTEs. Comfortable leading technical teams collaboratively through design processes.
  • Develop strategic partner and key vendor relationships and provide input into vendor product roadmaps
  • Interact with a range of people, from highly technical software developers to Senior Executive stakeholders
  • Recruit, grow and retain a group of high-performing technology full stack architects and developers.




  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • 5 + years of formal architecture design and implementation experience in n-tier applications, web architecture, & Enterprise integration
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • 4+ years’ experience in development/ application support of Java/J2EE based Ecommerce application - IBM Websphere Commerce.  Three (3) years’ experience in modern object-oriented design and programming language (Java).
  • Prior experience multiple SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban,)
  • Experience with Single Page Application (SPA)
  • Architecture Experience working with external customer-facing Web-based and Mobile Applications
  • Commanding knowledge with Application Containers (e.g., Docker, OpenShift)
  • Experience with open standards SOA principles and technologies; SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, WSDL, micro-services architecture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team builder and facilitator of cross team discussions with proven ability to identify and remove roadblocks and resolve issues
  • Experience in complex system integrations (internal & external) and related technologies (web services, SOAP, REST, JSON)
  • Experience with Identity Management (IDM), SSO, oAuth, CA platforms (SiteMinder) Certified Architecture Frameworks; TOGAF, FEAF, DOD, Zachman
  • Preferred Experience on technology platforms (JavaScript/Node, JavaEE)
  • Knowledge / experience with AWS platform components (Lambda, Lex, EC2, S3, IAM, API Gateway, VPC, DirectConnect, CloudWatch, et al.)
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate at an executive level
