IT VMO ANALYST (Asset Management) 

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an IT Asset Analyst to coordinate all day to day IT asset tracking activities (including all hardware and software). Initiate and assist in enhancing the asset life cycle process, projecting annual needs for hardware refreshment. Provide analysis and reporting on IT assets, life cycle maintenance and maintenance/repair costs. Prepare and process all IT out of contract repair authorizations. Reconciling all Club, Home Office and Distribution Center IT repair and maintenance invoicing. Work with vendors to review, execute and maintain IT maintenance and support contracts. Support the IT Asset Manager and Vendor Management Organization. Handle additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities and duties that are associated with the IT VMO Analyst (Asset Management) job include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Build, maintain, and support a program designed to keep an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets throughout the enterprise from procurement to retirement
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for asset management across the enterprise
  • Develop and maintain a software tracking processes
  • Work with Procurement to procure and track software throughout the enterprise
  • Maintain software asset management tools (ServiceNow)
  • Reconcile, audit, and verify software licenses against assets currently in use
  • Identify opportunities to optimized unused IT assets in the organization
  • Implement reports for use by management and external vendors/auditors
  • Improve workflow for accurate reporting of inventory across the organization
  • Document changes and author documentation on asset management processes and procedures
  • Serve as key contact for producing software artifacts during internal/external software audits
  • Validate and reconcile all Club, Home Office and Distribution Center IT repair and maintenance invoicing
  • Work with vendors and BJ’s business teams to maintain accurate support contract inventories and support levels
  • Review and approve all IT out of contract vendor repair authorizations
  • Provide analysis and recommendations based on current processes in support of ITAM program goals
  • Develop and conduct training related to the IT asset management function

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/IT/Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience with IT asset management
  • Collaborator and team player, with the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Software asset management experience (ServiceNow), a plus
  • ITAM tool implementation experience a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Access/Excel) and SharePoint
  • Financial industry expertise is a plus
  • Possess an understanding of the various types of current IT hardware, software, and services
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational skills; ability to manage workload independently
