Lead Workday Analyst


As a Lead HRIS analyst, you will work closely with the functional SME’s and support teams to drive Workday system configuration, enhancement, and deployment efforts for one or more HCM functional domains. Additionally, this individual will be a liaison between business teams, 3rd party vendors and IT for system integrations and issue resolution.


We’re looking for candidates with a deep knowledge of Core HR and expertise in at least one of these other modules: Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, or Learning. Experience in report writing is also highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, testing and implementation, maintenance, and configuration of the Workday system in supported areas (which may include one or more of Core and Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent Management, and Learning).
  • Collaborate with process owners to identify, recommend, and implement best practices, standard methodologies, and user-friendly processes.
  • Troubleshoot system problems, resolving system errors and data errors
  • Management of new Workday releases and leading the optimization of the Workday system.
  • Maintain existing system integrations and lead the implementation of new integrations.
  • Creation of process documents and training of target audiences, including but not limited to the HR Team, managers, etc.
  • Maintain data integrity in the system by regularly analyzing data, preparing and executing EIB’s and performing data audits.
  • Develop, maintain, produce, and analyze reports to provide insights into business questions.
  • Partner with Compliance Team to ensure all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws.
  • Assist with broadening internal knowledge of Workday through hands-on training to HRIS and other support teams.


Desired Skills & Abilities:

  • 5-7 years of functional Workday HCM and reporting experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workday configuration, testing and report writing.
  • Experience with configuring and managing Workday security is highly desirable.
  • High-level of attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and an analytical, process-oriented mindset
  • Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, delivering a high level of service & quality.
  • Be resourceful, exhibit excellent teamwork, problem solving and client focus skills
  • Have a “Roll up your sleeves” attitude and adaptability skills in a fast-paced, virtual environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel data functions required.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills working with technical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and participate on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively present both technical and functional information and respond to questions.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Comfortability with Leading & providing knowledge transfer
