A Senior Business Systems Specialist with a focus on training will support the design, development, delivery and program administration for a comprehensive learning program centered around supply chain systems and processes.  A Senior Specialist will demonstrate leadership, adaptability and accountability – lead by example, seek and incorporate input from others, and manage stakeholders’ needs and expectations.



  • Supports the design and development and program administration of the supply chain systems and process learning program and other initiatives linked to business needs and strategic priorities.
  • Ensures consistent measurement and data analysis of all program offerings to assist in promoting the value proposition and to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead coordinator for Supply Chain based learning at the Home Office and in Distribution Centers including development of internal communications to promote the program.
  • Monitors and manages use of the LMS, including testing changes, making additions to items/curriculum, ensuring accurate participants assignment, troubleshooting issues with course design and course configuration.
  • Delivers foundational workshops and components of the supply chain offerings, such as basic system navigation courses for new hires
  • Participates in projects related to our digital transformation as the Training Lead working with consultants and BJ’s Team Members to support new technology implementations.
  • Convert existing ITL courseware into BJ’s LMS system and develop a governance program to routine review and update content as required based on system and process enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate reference tools (job aids and quick reference cards) on BJ’s intranet.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new systems and procedures.
  • Be self-directed, making decisions on priorities and order of tasks. Make adjustments for frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Assists in the professional development of less experienced specialists and analysts by providing on-going coaching and feedback.



  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and/or demonstrates capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience
  • 2-3 years of learning and development experience
  • Retail and/or supply chain experience preferred
  • SAP or similar ERP and JDA systems experience is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience with SuccessFactors, UPerform and Articulate 360 is preferred
